Successful control of mite populations requires a combination of prevention and extermination methods appropriate to the climate, biological and seasonal activity of tick species for the region.
Condition for development is the presence of moisture and heat, but not very high temperatures. Therefore the first peak in their numbers is early spring, during the hot summer months hiding in the soil and in the autumn is the second peak. Treatment must take place twice a year - early spring and early autumn, it is very important the start and finish time for a good performance. During the remaining months of the year it is advisable to do maintenance treatments. Treatments are performed with insecticide with residual activity that acts on contact with ticks and that`s why it is necessary to wait at least 24 hours after treatment of a site before you allow access to people and animals to ensure their safety. Ticks blood suck actively in all stages of development, so it is important not to underestimate their numbers.
For better effect it's necessary to combine both pest control against rodents and ticks!
